Dead Can Dance, also called as DCD, is active in the music since 1981. The band formed in Melbourne Australia. Between 1998 and 2005 they had break and took some time for themselves. At the moment the group exists of two people, Lisa Gerrard and Brendan Perry. Their album Spiritchaser(1996) reached No. 1 on the Billboard Top World Music Albums Chart. The genre of the group is: African polyrhythms, Gaelic folk, Gregorian chants, Middle Eastern mantras, and art-rock.
