This famous American anti-folk pianist, singer and songwriter of Russian origin is probably one of the most talented artists today, not only on the anti-folk stage, but of the whole current musical generation. Mixing pop, classical music and blues, Spektor spices it all up with her unique voice, using both orthodox and rather experimental vocal techniques. Debuting on the big stage in 2004 after release of her album “Soviet Kitsch”, she continued with the row of quite successful releases, including her, perhaps, major hit “Fidelity” released on her “Begin to Hope” album in 2006.
Spektor is currently on tour with her new album, “What We Saw from the Cheap Seats”, released this year on May 29th.
